    what he is saying is true. Your body needs more calories to gain muscle, but it needs lower calories to lose fat. the two goals conflict and even if you try going at both goals at the same time, you wont get as far as someone else who is focusing on only one of these goals at a time

    how are you going to say it’s not possible to build muscle and burn fat at the same time if there are many studies that show that you can lose fat and build muscle at the same time! Everybody can achieve those goals and you just want to give people a long time to get results, when on the other hand people could do weight traning one day and cardio another and get their results in no time! Common Sense! Also why is title of the video “Build Muscle and Burn Fat” when your saying it cant happen?

    I did it and I know thousands of other people have done it too (unless your at 10% bodyfat or lower, but if your bodyfat is that low….it doesn’t matter cause all you would need to do is gain weight). Then there are people that say well you need to be in a calorie deficit to lose fat (true), and to build muscle you need to take in more calories than you burn (true)….so where does the energy come from? YOUR FAT….DUH. FAT=ENERGY. 300-400 calorie deficit works perfectly for this.

    dont u need fat to gain muscle, skinny guys have a hard time getting ripped, as for people with some body fat they turn that fat into muscle and they gain muscle fast as for the skinny guys that have no body fat it takes awhile to build there muscle

    Vince.. i have a question.. im on a low caloric diet.. and i want to burn fat.. but on the other hand.. im also lifting weights.. and every week.. i would increase the intensity. i am getting stronger.. so im assuming that i am building muscle.. .. and i think im slowly losing weight… i also noticed that .. im hitting a plateau . i want to build as much muscle as i can with my body fat.. but my main goal is to get ripped for the summer.. am i doing something wrong?

    @Sleepdancer87 You actually do not need to be in a caloric surplus to build muscle. Some people have more difficuilty than others building muscle and losing fat at the same time, but they may just need more help

    I have one question though. What about strength gain while trying to lose weight? Is that common? If vince or anyone can answer this i’d appreciate it, cause personally I’m lifting 30 procent more than when I started my diet and training program to lose weight. It could be mostly due to the creatine that i’ve taken as well.
